Spring Hair Trends

The 2016 runway looks have set a new direction for hair styles this spring. From the cutting edge to retro fashion, there are many different looks to draw inspiration from and incorporate into your everyday look. Here are some looks you can rock no matter the hair color, texture or thickness! Let spring 2016 be the awakening to a new style for your hair.

1.   Straight Hair:

How To: Spray the hair with a heat protectant and use a straightener at a low to medium setting. Settle any frizz or flyaways with a smoothing serum.

2. Asymmetric Soft Waves:

How To: Curl the hair using the wand of a 1″ curling iron for a mixture of straight and soft waves. Tussle the hair into a side part and allow to fall over the eyes.

3. Deep Side Part:

How To: Line your very deep part with the arch of your brow. Use a comb to hold the part over and spray with hair spray. If your hair has a mind of its own, try pinning down the hair for a few hours every day to “train” it. Eventually it will learn to stay in place. Backcomb the hair or use a texture spray to give the hair some volume.

4.  Sleek Ponytail:

How To: Apply a smoothing cream lightly to wet the hair and pull into a ponytail. Smooth out any bumps with a soft bristle brush. To get an extra sleek ponytail, use a straightener.

5. Retro Fringe Cut:

How To: It’s all about the cut: a jagged and angled cut. To accentuate this look, straighten the hair almost to the end, but leave an inch or two un-straightened. Add some texture product to the ends to add extra flyaway to the ends.
