With spring in full swing I have been gardening to my hearts content! Flowers are blooming, the leaves are filling in, and I love the sunshine and blue skies!
With all the outdoor activities, I have been trying different ways to get more energy throughout the day. I’ve been making salads, green smoothies, and just over all trying to be more mindful about nourishing my body. Green juices in particular make me feel so happy. They are loaded with antioxidants, alkalize the body, balance hormones, boost immunity & mental clarity, and hydrate your body giving you that clear eyed sparkle.
Here is my go to recipe I wanted to share with you:
5-6 leaves of romaine lettuce
2 stalks celery
2 kale leaves (remove spine)
1 green apple
2 inch nub of peeled ginger
add a sprinkle of cayenne pepper (optional)
