One of the popular makeup trends right now is wearing a “pop” of bright eye shadow or a colorful eyeliner. Pastels may be back in, but you can use any color that sparks your interest. Have fun! It’s just eye shadow and nothing is permanent. It can always be cleaned up, wiped off, or toned down.
This is the most common way to use the color. Using a blending brush, I take a little amount of color and just accentuate my eyelid crease. It gives the eye some definition without overpowering it.
Lash line smudge:
This look creates a subtle color framing the outline of the eye. Using a smudging brush, apply eye shadow from the middle point of the upper lid along the lash line, like you would eyeliner until the outer corner of the eye. Do the same thing for the bottom. Take the smudge brush and smudge out the eye shadow, creating a soft delicate look.
Creating a colorful lid using one solid color makes a bold statement. Using the shadow wet gives a more vibrant look. Don’t go into the crease, just define the eye lid with the eyeshadow brush.
